📬 Last Friday's mail delivered me some weekend reading. I've browsed this through over the weekend and here's why you should consider buying it too ⤵️ 👩‍💻Background: I've studied operations management at uni. This means basic operational metrics and concepts, like throughput time, cycle time and line balancing are very familiar to me. It comes as no surprise that this book has some legal-specific metrics that I could also call something else in traditional ops management lingo. BUT. If you do not have a degree in this field, this book brings you plenty more than the basics – put in a legal context! Instead of explaining specifically how for example throughput time can be utilized in a legal ops context, you can eg. just have a read about MAA (read the book if you want to know what it is 😉). 📖 The layout of each spread on each metric is well thought out and repeats itself. If you are struggling with a specific issue, you can start browsing and easily comparing various metrics to establish which could help you track and collect data on the situation.

This book is an excellent resource for KPIs for anyone involved in legal operations. The QR codes are very convenient for going to specific section online. The author does an excellent job providing suggestions for trend analysis.

Hace poco empecé a leer el libro Operaciones Legales de Mori Kabiri y he encontrado en las páginas que llevo herramientas precisas para optimizar procesos y gestionarlos de manera más efectiva. Las explicaciones sobre KPIs y métricas son claras y aplicables. Aunque aún no he terminado, ya me ha dejado una impresión muy positiva. I found a book that is providing me with keys and methodical steps to optimize the management of Legal Operations, so that the Legal Departments go from being a "cost/expense center" to a center that provides value and legal data to companies. I thank Mori Kabiri for being able to translate your book into Spanish and thus share your knowledge. Definitely, from an innovative and practical point of view, it is re-focusing my way of seeing legal management with data, metrics and results, demonstrating that lawyers can also be forward-thinking and make decisions with data. For anyone who wants to transform their area, management or law firm, this is an essential bedside book to start or complement their digital transformation process.
