And we thought about the Brazil community because initially this book and this concept applied to the United States, Germany, Mexico, and some other countries. But our scenario — Brazil — is very different. […] There is no such map or KPI book. The idea is to start writing things in this chapter that are relevant to our scenario, so that someone in a legal department today facing the challenge of implementing KPIs can say: I'm just getting started, I don't know where to begin. And then have this material, this forum, and a lot of information available.
I had a chance to skim through the pre-release copy and I am impressed!
Mori is undoubtedly one of the leading international names in Legal Operations. His work stands out both for knowledge production and practical application, impacting professionals and organizations worldwide.
Legal Operations KPIs points to one of the most important challenges in my day-to-day work: understanding the efficiency and quality of our service and how we can demonstrate the value we deliver, especially through KPIs. KPIs in the legal space are often a challenge, balancing the objective with the subjective. This book offers not only practical tools to understand, calculate, and apply these indicators, but is also useful for both beginners and experts in the field.
Stayed in and read Mori Kabiri's excellent book [Legal Operations KPIs]! As you can see from the flags, we will be implementing many of these metrics.
Just finished reading Legal Operations KPIs by Mori Kabiri — and it’s an excellent resource. There’s plenty of material out there on KPIs and OKRs, but what stood out for me in this book was its practical approach to defining metrics that genuinely demonstrate the value of Legal Operations through data. It goes beyond theory and focuses on what matters most: making performance measurable and meaningful. One section I particularly appreciated was the emphasis on turning complex analytics into actionable insights. For anyone who has wrestled with translating data into something stakeholders can understand, this is a game-changer. It’s not just about tracking numbers — it’s about telling a clear story of impact. This couldn’t have come at a better time for me, as I’m working on KPI-related projects this year. The ideas in this book have already influenced how I think about aligning metrics with organizational goals, and I’ll be sharing it with my team. If you’re looking to make KPIs less intimidating and more strategic, I highly recommend giving it a read.
The launch of resources like your Legal Operations KPIs book are proving instrumental. They’re helping legal teams across the region better align with business goals, navigate local challenges, and drive measurable improvements.
I believe that the guidance in this legal operations book is a very good example and provides a huge amount of material. You need to review it calmly and see how to get the best out of it, but it brings excellent tips that we, as lawyers, don't naturally have. We're not used to working with charts or being very organized with information, and I have no doubt this is something we must implement and learn little by little.
