Just finished reading Legal Operations KPIs by Mori Kabiri — and it’s an excellent resource. There’s plenty of material out there on KPIs and OKRs, but what stood out for me in this book was its practical approach to defining metrics that genuinely demonstrate the value of Legal Operations through data. It goes beyond theory and focuses on what matters most: making performance measurable and meaningful. One section I particularly appreciated was the emphasis on turning complex analytics into actionable insights. For anyone who has wrestled with translating data into something stakeholders can understand, this is a game-changer. It’s not just about tracking numbers — it’s about telling a clear story of impact. This couldn’t have come at a better time for me, as I’m working on KPI-related projects this year. The ideas in this book have already influenced how I think about aligning metrics with organizational goals, and I’ll be sharing it with my team. En mi curiosidad de seguirme capacitando en temas de #LegalOps, encontré un libro que me está brindando claves y pasos metódicos para optimizar la gestión de las Operaciones Legales, para que las Direcciones Legales pasen de ser un "centro de costos/gasto" a un centro que aporta valor y data legal a las compañías. Definitivamente desde un punto de vista innovador y práctico, está re-enfocando mi manera de ver la gestión legal con datos, métricas y resultados, demostrando que los abogados también podemos ser previsores y tomar decisiones con data.

• Creo que con la instrucción de este libro de operaciones legales es un muy buen ejemplo y es muchísimo material. Lo vas a tener que revisar ahí despacito e irlo viendo cómo le podemos sacar el mejor provecho, pero trae muy buenos tips que creo que nosotros, como abogados, no lo traemos tanto a la naturaleza. No se nos da mucho tener estas gráficas y ser de repente muy ordenados con la información. Y esta, no me queda la menor duda que es algo que tenemos que ir implementando, que tenemos que ir aprendiendo poco a poco.

Eu acredito muito que o jurídico pode (e deve) ser mais estratégico, e isso passa, inevitavelmente, por dados, indicadores e decisões baseadas em informação real. A gestão por KPIs sempre foi algo que me encanta, e quanto mais mergulho nesse universo, mais vejo o quanto ele é essencial pra construir uma cultura data driven dentro do jurídico, fortalecendo o trabalho em equipe e apoiando decisões mais inteligentes e transparentes. Meu objetivo com essa leitura é me aprofundar ainda mais em como aplicar indicadores e métricas na prática, conectando performance, eficiência e propósito, e compartilhar aprendizados que possam somar à rotina de todos nós que vivemos o jurídico no dia a dia.

I've browsed this through over the weekend and here's why you should consider buying it too ⤵️ 👩‍💻Background: I've studied operations management at uni. This means basic operational metrics and concepts, like throughput time, cycle time and line balancing are very familiar to me. It comes as no surprise that this book has some legal-specific metrics that I could also call something else in traditional ops management lingo. BUT. If you do not have a degree in this field, this book brings you plenty more than the basics – put in a legal context! Instead of explaining specifically how for example throughput time can be utilized in a legal ops context, you can eg. just have a read about MAA (read the book if you want to know what it is 😉). 📖 The layout of each spread on each metric is well thought out and repeats itself. If you are struggling with a specific issue, you can start browsing and easily comparing various metrics to establish which could help you track and collect data on the situation.
