Thank you for the engaging lecture and the unique insights into Legal Operations!
Mr. Kabiri provided practical examples and use case scenarios to illustrate the impact of data visualization techniques and data storytelling on the interpretive quality of data analyses and decision-making processes in companies.
There are a lot of really great models and measurements in Legal Operations KPIs, and it might help you figure out what things we should be measuring.
Leitura importantíssima. Vou colocar na minha lista de leituras de 2025.
Incredible momentum, love seeing how data-driven thinking is reshaping legal operations across borders.
As you’re growing your career in legal ops, it really is a marathon, not a sprint. Learn as much as you can as you go along and be patient about it. Learn what you want to learn, learn as you need to learn. There are amazing resources like ‘Legal Operations KPIs’ that can help guide you along the way.
I’ve been focusing more on legal ops lately, and one thing stands out: most teams think they’re further behind than they actually are. After reading the brilliant 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘒𝘗𝘐𝘴 by Mori Kabiri, I’ve been helping in-house legal teams assess their operational maturity using the four-pillar framework: 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲: Do you have the right skills and expertise? Are you more proactive or reactive? How do you handle difficult matters? 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Are your processes driving results or dragging you down? Where can you unlock quick wins? Even small improvements compound over time. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵: Is your tech stack delivering results or just racking up costs? Are you using legal-specific tools or just making do with generic systems? Who is stepping up as your team’s CTO? 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: Can you clearly demonstrate your team’s value to the business? Are you tracking the right metrics, telling the right story, and making evidence-based decisions? Without actionable data, you’re flying blind. I ask teams to rate themselves one to four on each pillar. Most are stronger than they realise and gain clarity on their blind spots. Right now, I’m working with several innovative legal leaders to transform their legal operations and I’m always happy to connect with new teams who are ready to level up. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆?
If you think about KPI within Legal - THIS IS YOUR book
Congratulations on the incredible work you and your team are doing with Legal Operations KPIs and for launching the Brazil Chapter.
Picking up a copy immediately.
The content is impeccably organized and holds value for those across any legal operations role.
This looks great. My goal for 2024 is to be KPI focused and this guide is just what I need.
KPIs claros, realistas e alinhados à estratégia da organização são ferramentas poderosas para transformar dados em decisões. Gostei especialmente do ponto sobre foco e relevância: medir menos, mas medir o que realmente importa.
The graphical and easily understandable percentage representations immediately caught my attention. Believe me, they are accurate and straightforward, a rare find. This book is incredibly helpful for legal professionals dealing with various types of data regularly and needing to perform data analysis. The section of the book, 'How Should You Select the Right Chart for Your Data?' is invaluable for every professional, regardless of their background. I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed.
