Marisa Monteiro Borsboom, upon completing a 5 year law degree, she was admitted to the bar association of Portugal after completing a 2 year program, which she passed with honours, beginning her career in 2004 and practicing until the present. Since 2011 she has split her time and activities between the Netherlands and Portugal, continuing to be a fully registered advogada.
Marisa is a legal entrepreneur and a pioneer of legal innovation, having founded MQM Legal Center and later Verae in the Netherlands, as well as the Institute for Legal Innovation and Technology, Inov@legal, in Portugal. A trailblazer that fosters her creativity and input, she actively participates in many communities and organisations. She is currently the Vice President of ELTA, an organization which she has been a member of since 2016 and has come to be the ambassador for Portugal and the founder of the Portuguese ELTA chapter.
