Great to have you here in Brazil! Thanks once again for sharing such a valuable Legal Operations KPIs content, as well as for generating so many insights for me and for our Jurídico Sem Gravata vibrant community.
Recommended Reading: A few days ago I started reading "Operaciones Legales KPIs" by Mori Kabiri, an essential book for everyone who (like me) is looking for new ways to align legal management with the business. You can tell it was a titanic effort, combining Mori’s vast experience with very serious academic work. Great job!
Mr. Kabiri provided practical examples and use case scenarios to illustrate the impact of data visualization techniques and data storytelling on the interpretive quality of data analyses and decision-making processes in companies.
It is very relevant to see the application of KPIs in corporate legal departments.
Mori Kabiri’s ideas reinforce the importance of transforming data into strategy for management, not just legal management. After all, as he highlights: "what is not measured is not managed."
Just finished reading Legal Operations KPIs by Mori Kabiri — and it’s an excellent resource. There’s plenty of material out there on KPIs and OKRs, but what stood out for me in this book was its practical approach to defining metrics that genuinely demonstrate the value of Legal Operations through data. It goes beyond theory and focuses on what matters most: making performance measurable and meaningful. One section I particularly appreciated was the emphasis on turning complex analytics into actionable insights. For anyone who has wrestled with translating data into something stakeholders can understand, this is a game-changer. It’s not just about tracking numbers — it’s about telling a clear story of impact. This couldn’t have come at a better time for me, as I’m working on KPI-related projects this year. The ideas in this book have already influenced how I think about aligning metrics with organizational goals, and I’ll be sharing it with my team. If you’re looking to make KPIs less intimidating and more strategic, I highly recommend giving it a read.
This looks awesome! I will certainly be buying this!
If you do not have a degree in this field, this book [Legal Operations KPIs] brings you plenty more than the basics – put in a legal context! Instead of explaining specifically how for example, throughput time can be utilized in a legal ops context, you can eg. just have a read about MAA (read the book if you want to know what it is 😉). The layout of each spread on each metric is well thought out and repeats itself. If you are struggling with a specific issue, you can start browsing and easily comparing various metrics to establish which could help you track and collect data on the situation.
A good complement to your initial book.
This new resource (and awesomely integrated companion website) will take your legal data analytics to the next level. Finally, a one-stop-stop for legal metrics that explains exactly what each means, plus how to calculate and most importantly, how to communicate using this data to tell your story!
It's fun and always insightful to participate in the meetings and forums.
I am going to read your book and you know about me and books.
With Mori Kabiri’s expertise on the topic, we concluded that Legal and Compliance activities are indeed measurable through indicators that translate into cost reduction, increased efficiency in contract management, and therefore business impact and cost savings.
I may be biased, but I truly admire this forum, the idea and the thinking behind each carefully designed session. We know it’s not easy to turn a community idea into something big that truly reaches people. We don’t aim to be gigantic, but to add value—that’s the core idea. We contribute with what we know and master, and when we don’t know, we seek the right people to help us understand and share that knowledge. Grateful to be part of it and to see this idea growing more and more.
